begin to explore the reasons why I like what I like by researching the Artist, the subject,the movement, mood, why the artist created this work, finding a story or message, looking for policitcal or historical events that may have influenced the artist, or what events in the artist's life that may have effected the work, look at the artist's culture that is evident in the work, or is there an overall theme, or characteristic in the art that you like?
